Starting from my knowledge of the world of the sea, my intention is to embark on a more global consideration of the influence of the world around us and the way in which our perception depends on our physical environment. Based on Gibson’s ecological approach, I propose a consideration of the way in which extreme environments such as aeroplanes, submarines and even space shuttles can alter our senses. How can architecture and design be both the cause and the effect of their environments? Which brings us to the next question: How do changing environmental parameters (physical and physiological) influence architecture?
