The current challenges relating to humans’ impact on marine ecosystems are real and concerning, as our survival depends on this balance between the marine environment and the species that inhabit it.So how can we imagine a future that, this time, will take marine ecosystems into account? This dissertation promotes a more respectful philosophy that constantly questions our exchanges with these ecosystems, be it through our relationship to habitat or to food. It counts human beings as an element of these systems in its own right and advocates interdependence in favour of a shared goal: life. It is a more fluid philosophy in which things are interconnected, mix together and interact: a philosophy of the marine ecosystem.
