The restoration project for the Léopold Bellan gymnasium is based on a dual sporting and creative programme, combining a municipal swimming pool with a studio, gallery and clay baths.Upon entering, one can choose between the two options. The first, dedicated to work with clay, features and exhibition space and offers access to the studio. The second is reserved for water-based physical activity and clay baths. The two worlds communicate through porosities, as well as the materiality made possible by the different ways of working with clay. Ph7 therefore restores the place's philanthropic character, combining physical and intellectual practice in an immersive, contemplative and sensorial space focused on water and clay.
