Although there are plenty of theatres in Île-de-France, they nevertheless require actors, whose access to the stage is a long and winding road. This project brings together a training venue, the École du Jeu, residences for up-and-coming theatre companies and a performance hall, all under the same roof, in order to foster osmosis. A central structure houses a large stage above and a large lobby for use on the ground floor, which through minimal intervention serves only to increase the potential of a site with an eminently theatrical aesthetic. This minimal architectural structure, which is revolved around, brings organisation to the empty spaces, as theatre and learning to act require space that can be used to reinvent the rules and reinvent life.
