I have chosen to transform the former Léopold Bellan gymnasium into a swimming pool to provide the town of Bry-sur-Marne with its first swimming pool and to make up for the lack of pools in neighbouring towns. The swimming pool features three pools and has been designed for numerous uses. I wanted to create a modern and healthy setting while developing a particular atmosphere, inspired by the island of Palawan. The pools’ surroundings are evocative of the beach, while the basement changing rooms give the impression of being underwater. Finally, the café is reminiscent of a tropical forest by the sea. I therefore hope to create a pure, clean atmosphere that is also joyful and energetic and that can be used by all local residents.
