Architecture tells the story of a place. This project, tucked away in the episcopal city of Albi, stands out for its red brick. Its proximity to the water, its relationship with light and the soft colour of the brick has led me to create a place dedicated to well-being. A new volume is established and elevated to create a piece of architecture where the water meets the sky. The ensemble has that shade so unique to Albi, allowing the building to blend into the monochrome of the red town. Mashrabiyas, mirrors and compositions immerse visitors in a constant interplay of the seen and the glimpsed. The window arches resonate through the space, cadenced by the uninterrupted curves. At the heart of the ruin is a point where water and light converge, encouraging contemplation.
