My approach is a continuation of my dissertation. Exploring a possible hybridisation of luxury and reuse, it attempts to show that high-end interior architecture can become a real manifesto for valuing materials. Defined, for me, as a patron and protector of exceptional craftsmanship, the link between luxury and material seemed an obvious one. I therefore experimented and built my project around the materials found in an old chapel in Switzerland. To best illustrate my project strategy, I worked with three craftspeople to make sample panels based on three materials: panelling, tiles and carpet. Applying manual skills to a material can therefore make it desirable and viable in a new project.
