A vessel is heading to the planet Mars, carrying the first team of professional and civilian astronauts. On Mars, the first major international village is under construction. Supervised by Caroline and her teammates, this project lays the foundations for a new human civilisation.How can we live in weightlessness, in a confined vessel lost in the vastness of space? How can we live on Mars, that red planet and the stuff of so many dreams, on which the hopes and future of humanity are built? Through two parallel accounts, this daily life in two environments hostile to human beings is told and experienced by the astronauts.
