To come to the swimming pool is to have an experience. An experience that may differ depending on age or practice. Expectations and requirements are not all the same. As such, we must explore the question of how today’s users are received. How should they be received, and what importance should be given to this reception? How can this building, a listed historical monument, be tailored to new expectations and uses, without renouncing its history? This project promises to reconcile the conservation, renovation and transformation of the Léopold Bellan gymnasium with a municipal swimming pool for the people of Bry-sur-Marne. A new facility for the town that responds to the question of reception and offers a unique architectural experience through specific routes.
