My final project is above all a design project. As a designer, I asked myself if I could transform geometric objects into a visual product. Food felt like the essential subject as it is intrinsically linked to my mother and my childhood. I built an imaginary project, in which I wrote down my favourites from among my mother’s recipes and all the ingredients required. I then drew signed a typical Taiwanese dish and the steps for making it, including the necessary utensils. In my project, the utensils in the illustration have been transformed into a crockery set in its own right, presented in such a way that readers can follow the recipe, step by step, to recreate this delicious meal.
